| Most buyers happy with outsourcing deals |
| A survey has shown that 96 per cent of businesses are happy with their outsourcing investments. Market consultants Equaterra have compiled the results of 11 market studies carried out over the past ten quarters, revealing largely favourable perceptions of outsourcing. The research showed that one third of the 673 buyers questioned were so satisfied with their outsourcing deals that they planned to expand their outsourcing usage in future, while less than two per cent had any plans to reduce or eradicate outsourcing efforts. Stan Lepeak, managing director of research at Equaterra, commented on the findings: "The main challenge with debating a topic like outsourcing or globalisation is that many of the most vociferous parties present findings that appear to be opinion-based rather than fact-based." In a company press release, he referred to some recent research that claimed 44 per cent of employers did not report cost savings after investing in outsourcing. However, this research used a relatively small sample of only 25 companies.
