The fourth annual Mobile User Experience Conference will be held at the Wallacespace in London on May 27th and 28th in an attempt to make mobile communications more user-friendly.

Marketing consultancy XL Communications highlighted the need of the information technology industry to adjust to a new generation of consumers who are accessing the internet via their mobile phones.

Founder of the event Marek Pawlowski said it will help mobile telecoms companies to see the world from a customer's point of view.

"We know that many customers' real experiences are often a world away from the technology hype spun by the mobile business," he added.

"At the conference, we provide an environment where all of the companies who can make this better for the end customer work together to make real progress on enhancing the usability of mobile phones."

Earlier this week, surveys carried out by Juniper Research indicated that annual advertising expenditure on mobile search applications is set to rise to more than $2 billion (£1 billion) by 2013.
