Three hundred year-old bank C Hoare & Co has signed an IT outsourcing deal with Capgemeni.

A five-year contract will see the firm take responsibility for the bank's IT infrastructure from June this year, according to Bobs Guide.

The bank has said it hopes the move will enable it to make the most of available office space, improve the cost effectiveness of its IT infrastructure and provide the best service for its clients, reports the news provider.

Alexander Hoare, chief executive of C.Hoare & Co, said: "Our strength as a bank lies in our provision of first-class personal service to our clients.

"We are confident that working with Capgemini will maintain and enhance the IT service which provides vital underpinning for our work."

Earlier this week PR Inside reported that a study by research firm Ukrainian Hi-Tech indicated the IT outsourcing market in central and eastern Europe has reached $3 billion (£1.5 billion).
