A new portfolio of broadband services has been developed specifically for small and medium-sized business enterprises (SMEs).

Broadband provider Nildram has released a range of packages providing different performance options, including cheaper selections, for SMEs with employee numbers of between ten and 250 people, across different sectors.

Nathan Francis, managing director of Nildram, said: "Customers across many sectors demand high performance, reliability, quality and top-notch support."

He added that the product would be able to provide assured bandwidth at the low-cost end of the market.

The news follows comments made earlier this month by small business services provider Startup Co, maintaining that websites are low investment growth opportunities for SMEs, containing the potential for a high return on an up-front investment.

John De Groot, managing director of the organisation, said that the key for businesses is to generate enough traffic to the website to get the best sales end result.
