The National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA) has announced a week of seminars focussing on "key business disciplines" to help small businesses deal with the uncertain economic climate and provide them with help and advice.

Credit Crunch Week will run from Monday April 28th to Friday May 2nd to make sure that small and medium -sized enterprises (SMEs) know "that there is no need to feel alone and isolated," according to chief executive of NFEA George Derbyshire.

Mr Derbyshire added: "[Now] is the time to focus on key business disciplines - realistic forecasting, including sensible reviews of contingency plans and rigorous financial control."

He went on to say that that the situation could be worked through as long as people were calm and employed sound management principles.

The news follows reports carried in Computer Business Review earlier this week saying that a new suite of telephony services tailored to the business needs of SMEs has been developed by Magnet Business.
