VoIP providers are set to produce the most job and wage growth of any industry over the next few years, a study has found.

Research by IBIS World showed that VoIP providers topped a list of '10 stand-out industries' and could expect to see annualised job growth of about 19.4 per cent and wage growth of 21.8 per cent through 2012, Triangle Business Journal reports.

Industry experts have said that the forecast for VoIP looks to improve further.

IBIS World senior analyst George Van Horn said: "The outlook (for VoIP) is good as household broadband penetration is still rising, facilitating greater use of digital services and helping improve the call quality of industry services."

The news comes as college and university graduates step into the job market this spring.

"Jobseekers should investigate the industries forecast for strong employment growth," Mr Van Horn concluded.
