IT outsourcing resources in western Europe are going to be in hot demand in the coming 12 months, according to a new report on the state of play in the world's IT outsourcing sector.

A report by IT outsourcing firm Luxoft has suggested that IT departments are set to look increasingly close to home when choosing their outsourcing provider, meaning companies offering IT support in London could be in for a bumper year.

Eastern Europe and Canada are also expected to see IT departments looking to offer work to local firms.

In addition, the company suggests that 2007 will see IT outsourcing become more agile, with the ability to adapt to a client's needs expected to be a big player in securing contracts over the next year.

"With the right people, project management and metrics in place this highly collaborative approach, traditionally thought to be only for in-house teams, will continue to speed client solutions to market," Luxoft asserts.

It appears that 2007 is set to be an exciting year for London IT outsourcing.
