Posted by Jessie Richards A government commitment to the green technology sector would enable the economy to recover more quickly, Friends of the Earth has said. IT outsourcing providers who offer green IT solutions for clients can not only enable the UK to reach its carbon emission goals but they can also boost the nation's ailing economy. Simon Bullock, economy campaigner at Friends of the Earth, has urged the government to make green technology a top priority. "I appreciate that there are major problems with the UK's deficit and debt, but the green economy and the green technology sector will be big drivers of future economic growth," he said. Businesses can save money by investing in green IT, according to experts at a roundtable discussion hosted by software provider FAST. ![]() |
