Posted by Louise Tate IT outsourcing users attempting to reach their customers through social media should invest in the quality of content they use, it has been claimed. Jacob Morgan, principal of social business consultancy Chess Media Group, pointed out that social networking allows companies to gain an interesting insight into how customers interact with brands. However, he explained that having a solid understanding of who the customer is and what they want is vital when using social media to reach them. "Brands need to continue to provide interactive, valuable, and unique content to their customers to keep the relationships and the community going strong," Mr Morgan explained. The expert also claimed that some companies are still reluctant to invest in social networking, as they are worried about the levels of security and privacy possible on the channels. Will McInnes, managing director of digital media agency Nixon McInnes, recently predicted that more businesses will carry out IT projects such as building their own social networks to increase communication with their staff. ![]() |
