Written by Jessie Richards Companies can make several amendments to their websites to increase online sales conversions, it has been suggested, which may stress the need for IT services. According to addressing software provider Allies Computing, businesses which remove registration requirements from their checkout process can reduce the number of consumer abandonments. In addition, firms should be wary of asking for duplicate information from the customers by ensuring it is automatically populated if needed in another part of the process. Features such as automated address lookup can also prove popular with consumers as they reduce the required amount of keystrokes, while simple and clear websites could also pay dividends. The group added that firms should not collect information they do not need, as they have to demonstrate a valid reason for gathering any data. Jon Mew, head of mobile for the Internet Advertising Bureau, recently claimed that mobile advertising is likely to increase in the coming years, due to its advantages over other platforms. ![]() |
