One in four small businesses will not reduce IT spend
A survey has found a quarter of small businesses will not reduce their IT provision due to the credit crunch, which includes arrangements for IT support in London.

Figures produced by Opus Energy have found this is the section which is least threatened by the economic downturn.

The second safest area is on extra spending for employees, such as tea, biscuits and coffee, with 16 per cent vowing to maintain expenditure on these essentials.

Andy Nash, the operations director for the researcher, claims energy efficiency in the workplace is an overlooked factor, which those receiving IT support in London can receive assistance reviewing.

He says: "While some value can be had from trimming excess spending on business travel and advertising budgets, it is surprising that a review of utility bills does not appear higher up the list."

In other news, the Australian has reported that David Murray, a growth solutions provider with Deloitte, claims IT outsourcing allows firms to delegate their non-core activities to specialist organisations and reduce costs.ADNFCR-8000229-ID-18983273-ADNFCR
