Using mobile phones to access the internet will become a necessity, according to a technology publication. Andrew Lim, mobile phones editor at CNET, said that mobile online access is convenient and allows customers to browse the internet at their convenience, wherever they are. He added: "Although it's not a necessity right now and I'm sure people can survive without it I think increasingly it will become one as we tie our lives more and more with the internet." Mr Lim went on to say it is still questionable whether mobile phones themselves have become a necessity, adding that customers tend to make technology essential once it has been released onto the market. This month, a study carried out by ICM Research, the London School of Economics and Vodafone found 45 per cent of mobile owners accessed websites everyday using their phone, while 62 per cent of owners said that they checked their emails everyday using their phones. © Adfero Ltd |
