Businesses should run annual 'health checks' on PCs, according to an IT repair company. Tim Fairs, from The TechGuys, said regular monitoring can eradicate dormant files or programmes that can take up memory and slow down computer speeds. "Running a health check on an annual basis will mean that your PC is running to its optimum. And that can mean sticking with what you've got, rather than having to change your PC every two or three years," he continued. Mr Fairs added that checks carried out about once a year will help clean up PC operating systems and allow customers get the most out of their computers. A survey carried out by The TechGuys indicates the frustration caused by PC inefficiency has prompted one in five people to hit their desk, led to a million broken monitors, and one in 20 workers to hit something so hard they hurt themselves. © Adfero Ltd |
