London is to host a major conference on IT outsourcing later this year when Gartner stages its annual Outsourcing and IT Services Summit in June.

The event will take place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, from June 2 to 4, and will see 20 of the research firm's analysts present the latest findings on IT outsourcing, particularly in the field of multisourcing.

More and more businesses are sourcing different parts of their IT requirements from different outsourced providers, and Gartner identifies multisourcing as "the key discipline for successful outsourcing strategies".

The conference will feature four tracks, as well as two virtual tracks, and over 50 sessions over its three day duration.

Co chairs of the event will be Claudio Da Rold and Cathy Tornbohn. Amongst the keynote speakers will be Michael Paravicini, chief information officer at Zurich Financial Services.

The accompanying exhibition already has 26 confirmed outsourcing technology companies and service providers in attendance.
