Developer and manager of experiential destination resorts, Intrawest, has signed an IT outsourcing deal with T4G this week.

The project-based technology services company will deliver Intrawest's IT services, including application design and development.

Under the terms of the contract, Intrawest's development team will join T4G's Vancouver office with immediate effect.

Geoff Flood, president of T4G, said: "With this seasoned team in place, we can rapidly respond to both Intrawest's needs and those of our other valued clients in the tourism and hospitality sector."

Intrawest's chief information officer, Doug Feely, also commented on the closing of the deal.

He said: "By combining the core development staff of Intrawest with T4G's team, we are confident that our output and cost efficiencies will grow significantly."

T4G will be responsible for Intrawest's reservations system, Rezolution, which processes consumer bookings over the phone and online.

In addition, the IT outsourcing firm will also provide support for Intrawest's content management system and corporate intranet site.

Earlier this week, Edinburgh council announced that it is set to sign a major IT outsourcing deal with BT's government services division.

Councillors in the Scottish city expect the IT outsourcing deal to make the council £22 million in efficiency savings.
