A new printer has been designed especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Leading provider of digital office equipment, Ricoh, has released its GX2500 colour printer for the small office, which utilises Ricoh's GelSprinter technology. The GX2500 produces documents at 28 pages per minute, in both colour and black and white, using an enhanced viscous ink formulation. Furthermore, the GelSprinter technology is not only waterproof and fade resistant, it also prevents smearing and any "bleed-through" effects. Ron Potesky, vice president of corporate product marketing for Ricoh, said: "Ricoh is excited to now provide a GelSprinter product to users in the small office environment. "No matter the size, every business has a need to produce high quality documents. The GX2500 will give small businesses the opportunity to reap the benefits of a high-end printer at an affordable, entry-level cost." Cost-conscious organisations, such as SMEs, are being highlighted as the target audience for this printer, which is specifically designed for workgroups of up to three users. © Adfero Ltd |
