Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are rumoured to have made a training video for Microsoft that was never released, according to reports.

The 'lost office clips' are now receiving large amount of hits on the internet after the Sydney Morning Herald reported that they had been uploaded.

Gervais plays the popular David Brent character from hit TV show the Office.

The clips show Stephen Merchant professionally presenting an introduction before Gervais pops up in the corner in classic Brent style.

The first clip runs for 20 minutes and the second lasts 17 minutes, with Brent presenting his usual blend of cringing behaviour.

As a basis for a training video, many viewers have applauded the way it demonstrates how not to act in an office and the general managerial environment.

The Brent character, who by his own admission is more of a "chilled out entertainer", is regarded as one of the funniest comedy creations in recent time.

Gervais and Merchant's sitcom has been a huge success in both the UK and the US.
