Breaking news from ihotdesk, the home of IT support in London: Analysts have claimed that the discussions about Vista at Microsoft's annual financial meeting portray concerns about it being delayed.

Analysts have claimed that the discussions about Vista at Microsoft's annual financial meeting portray concerns about it being delayed.

Vista had been prepared for this year but in March Microsoft decided to move the release date to early 2007.

As a result of the meeting yesterday Microsoft's shares fell by two per cent because investors felt that Microsoft didn't confirm the January release.

Microsoft's Kevin Johnson stated: "We are going to ship the product when it is ready, and we are just going to take it milestone by milestone."

Vista is the first major update for Microsoft since Windows XP five years ago. The new software looks set to be good news for IT support in London with many new features.

A next generation desktop, mobile technology like never before, improved security and infrastructure optimisation are all apparent in the information that Microsoft has released.

Microsoft also announced at the meeting that they were on target to achieve revenue between $14.3 billion (£7.7 billion) and $14.5 billion (£7.8 billion) in the company's current financial year.
