T-Systems is hoping improve Royal & SunAlliance's (R&SA) IT infrastructure thanks to a new IT outsourcing deal. Worth £92 million over an initial ten-year period, the agreement will see T-Systems, a business customer unit of Deutsche Telecom, take over two facilities in Birkenhead in Liverpool and Easton, Bristol. The 63 employees currently employed by R&SA in both this locations will be transferred to T-Systems. Shirley Campbell, UK human resources director at R&SA, said: "There are two immediate benefits for us: Our outsourced staff will be joining a highly progressive and fast growing business and R&SA will be embracing best-in-class technology and printing processes." Jan van der Merve, the chief executive office at T-Systems, added the deal would offer both cost savings and enhanced facilities to R&SA. T-Systems provides a range of services, which include IT support, PC support and IT outsourcing. It has offices in London, Milton Keynes and Edinburgh, and employs in excess of 56,000 people. © Adfero Ltd |
