Linklaters, the global law firm, has signed up Unisys for its global IT outsourcing contract. Unisys will support and maintain Linklaters' global data centre and office server, printer and storage infrastructure. The law company's data centres are spread across the USA, Hong Kong and UK. Simon Gilhooly, Linklaters' technical systems manager, said: "This relationship with Unisys provides Linklaters with a worldwide resource on which all our staff can draw as we continue to build and expand our global operations. "The scope of the Unisys solution and the agility with which it will be delivered mean that Linklaters employees will benefit from the commitment to innovation and service levels for which Unisys is renowned." Unisys will work right across Linklaters' 23 global operations and the implementation process began in March 2007. Duncan Tait, Unisys spokesman, said: "Unisys solution helps align Linklaters' IT infrastructure with the company's strategic business objectives and provides superior support for Linklaters employees.
